Experience The Fraser – Get a Pedal-Powered POV with this Bike Ride along the Mission Waterfront

Enjoy the view from behind the handlebars for this pedal-powered journey through the Mission waterfront and along the banks of the Fraser River, produced for Experience The Fraser. Notable landmarks include the sturgeon public art, Mission Waterfront Demonstration Project, and the Harbour River Interpretive Centre.

Experience the Fraser (ETF) is a unique vision to connect communities, parks, natural features, historic and cultural sites and experiences along the Lower Fraser River. The Canyon to Coast Trail and Recreational Blueway are the backbone of the project, connecting Hope to the Salish Sea by means of over 550 kilometers of trail (43% of which is already in place) and via the river itself.

The Experience The Fraser videos are part of a larger exhibit at the Fraser River Discovery Centre, allowing visitors to learn more about the project and sample some of the attractions and sights along the route. A monitor is connected to a stationary bike and as the ‘cyclist’ pedals, a POV (point of view) video shows them what they would see if they were riding the various ETF trails in the real world.
